Vintage NYC Magazine, along with family and friends, attended a movie pre-screening of the soon to be released feature "High Strung". In one word, "Wow!" We certainly experienced (see the music-hear the dance).
Originally approached as something interesting and out of the ordinary to do, there was no warning that the next hour and a half would be so moving. High Strung is produced by Michael Damian and written by his wife Janeen, based on exciting events from her own life. The film was beautifully choreographed by Dave Scott. This emotional love story revolves around two artists - one a ballerina and the other a classical violinist - and how their lives intersect in a modern day world.
Powerful and thought-provoking throughout the entire duration, this movie will keep you bouncing in your seat as the musical score is creative, infectious and inspiring. If you have enjoyed other dance movies that have come to the big screen, then mark this one as an absolute must see. This movie combines dance, classical music and modern day hip-hop in a brilliant and entertaining way that no other movie has come close to. Remember the title: "High Strung" This is certainly the movie you want to take the whole family to see.
