Every once in a while a surprising young talent comes along. Watch this video of such a young man. You are witnessing the talent of 9 year old Carter Rubin, son of Alonna and David Rubin, and grandson of Ric Mango of the iconic 60's band " Jay and the Americans". Who didn't swoon to "Come a Little Bit Closer" and "This Magic Moment" by this mega band! Ric has coached his grandson over the years who is now following in his footsteps. Carter also has a 13 year old brother Jack. Having Autism has not held Jack back. As an exceptional drummer he enjoys rocking out with Carter. For Carter, his journey is just beginning. With the voice of an angel he maneuvers up and down the music scale like a pro. His voice is perfection as he belts out the chorus of "Hallelujah". He has performed the National Anthem at a variety of venues over the last few years and performed in a local talent show where he brought the audience to tears with his song. We are so proud at Vintage NYC Magazine to present this talented young man to you. This is just the beginning of great things to come for Carter...and remember you saw him here first. We believe Carter has a great career ahead of him in the music field and with excitement we present him here to you.
