If you missed the National News our Spring 2015, Cover Girl, Misty Copeland, has made history by becoming the first African American female Principle Dancer with the American Ballet Theatre in the company's 75 year history. Vintage NYC Magazine is beyond excited and proud of our "Cover Girl". Misty has been with the American Ballet Theater for 14 years. Misty hit national attention when she was the first ballet dancer to appear in an Under Armour ad in 2014, catching more than 4 million views on YouTube in the first week. Misty has risen to the top because of her hard work and determination to leave her mark in the ballet world. Misty was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2015 as she graced one of five covers for the issue. Congratulations to our beautiful Swan. You are deserving of this honor and so much more. We believe this is just the beginning of great things to come for Misty Copeland. We hope you have the opportunity to read her book "Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina" which came out last year. This "Unlikely Ballerina" just became one of the most renowned names in the Ballet world, proving Dreams really do come true.
